अवतल लेंस के लिए, f = -15 cm, |v| =10 cm, u = ?.

सूत्र 1/v - 1/u = 1/f से,

1/v - 1/f = 1/u

या u = VF/f-v.

अब v = 10 cm के लिए, 

v = -10 cm के लिए, 

लेंस के आगे 30 cm पर वस्तु होगी।
