${Ca}$ after losing 2 electrons and ${Si}$ after losing 4 electrons acquire the nearest noble gas configuration, which means both of them acquire a stable completely filled configuration.

Thus, large amount of energy is required to remove third electron from ${Ca}$ and fifth electron from ${Si}$.
