Amoebiasis is a disease of Human being which is caused by a protozoan parasite, 'Entamoeba histolytica'. It is a monogenetic parasite found in Human large intestine to complete the Life-cycle.
Its mode of transmission is through contaminated food or water. So it is called 'Contaminative transmission'.
Symptoms : lmportant symptom is charcot-layden crystal with blood in stool along with abdominal pain.
Treatment : Use of drugs like Metronidazole & Tinidazaole
