ANSWER : 1 newton = 105 dyne.

Explanation —

The dimension of force, $F =\left[ MLT ^{-2}\right]$

Since, $N _{1} U _{1}= N _{2} U _{2}$

$\therefore N _{1}= N _{2}\left[\frac{ U _{2}}{ U _{1}}\right]$

$= N _{2}\left[\frac{ M _{2}}{ M _{1}}\right]\left[\frac{ L _{2}}{ L _{1}}\right]\left[\frac{ T _{2}}{ T _{1}}\right]^{-2}$

$= 1\left[\frac{1000 gm }{1 gm }\right]\left[\frac{100 cm }{1 cm }\right]\left[\frac{ sec }{ sec }\right]^{-2}=10^{5} \text { dyne. }$
