A root of the equation $f(x)=0$ is that value of $x$ which makes $f(x)=0$.

In other words, $x=\infty$ is said to be a root of $f(x)=0$.

If $f(\infty)=0$, where $f(\infty)$ is the value of the polynomial $f(x)$ at $x=\infty$ and is obtained by replacing $x$ by $\infty$ in $f(x)$.
