Lenin (Vladimir Ivanovich Lenin) was the leader of the Bolsevik revolution in Russia.

He was born on April 10, 1870 in a village called Simbrust on the bank of the Volga river. He was an opponent of Czarism and a supporter of Marxism.

He joined the Social Democratic party and became the leader of the Bolshevik Party. He participated in the Russian Revolution of 1905.

After its failure he was exiled from Russia. In march 1917, he returned to Russia from Switzerland and assumed the leadership of the Bolsevik party.

In his April thesis, he clarified the objectives and programs of the Bolshevik party these were to make arrangements for land, peace and bread with Trotsky's support, Lenin ended the power of Karensky and established a government of the Bolsheviks headed by Lenin.
