Following are differences b/w Binary and Multiple fission —

Binary fission Multiple fission
(i) Two offsprings are produced. (i) Many offsprings are produced.
(ii) It which only one time division of nucleus occurs. (ii) In which repeated division of nucleus occurs.
(iii) No any waste part remains of the end of division. (iii) Some waste parts remain.
(iv) It occurs in favourable condition. (iv) It occurs in both favourable and unfavorable condition.
(v) It attains immortality in organisms. (v) It has lack of immortality.
(vi) e.g. Bacteria, Paramecium, Amoeba. (vi) e.g. Plasmodium.
