SOLUTION :  In the case of transitive relation (a, b), (b, c) $\in R$

$\Rightarrow(\mathrm{a}, \mathrm{c}) \in \mathrm{R}$

Here $(1,2)$ and $(2,1) \in R$ but $(1,1) \notin R$.

So, it is not transitive.
