Louis Philippe was a moderate ruler but he was very ambitious.

To please his opponents following the venim middleclass policy in 1840. Gijon was appointed Prime Minister, who was a staunch reactionary. He was against any legal, social and economic reforms.

Louis Philippe preferred to keep with the bourgeosie, which had no interest in governance and which was also in the minority.

He did not have any corrective program nor was he getting any kind of success in foreign policy. During his region, hunger and unemployment began to prevail which led to the revolution of 1848.
