If the median of $x / 5, x, x / 4, x / 2$ and $x / 3$, where $x>0$, is 8 then the value of $x$ is equal to

$\therefore$ Median $=$ Value of $\left(\frac{5+1}{2}\right)$ th term= Value of 3rd term

Now, arranging the terms in the increasing order i.e., $\frac{x}{5}, \frac{x}{4}, \frac{x}{3}, \frac{x}{2}, x$ we see that the third term $=\frac{x}{3}$

Given, median $=8$

$\begin{aligned}\Rightarrow & \frac{x}{3}=8 \\\Rightarrow & x=24\end{aligned}$

So, The correct option of this question will be (B).
