Ans. English is an international language because it is read and spoken by a large number of people but also it is read and spoken in the largest number of countries. Almost all the former colonies of Britain make use of English as an important language. India being a colony of the British has English as an important language. It is also the modern concept of globalisation and growing international trade that has increased the importance of English.
