India is the most diverse country in the world on the basis of language. How?

In the 1991 census, 1500 languages were identified as mother tongue. When languages i.e., some similar languages are grouped or classified, then a class of 114 language is formed.

For example — languages like Bhojpuri, Bundelkhandi, Chhatisgarhi, Rajasthani, Bhili etc. were added to Hindi.

Out of these language 22 languages are Assamese, Bangla, Bodo, Hindi, Gujrati, Durgi, Kashmiri, Kannad, Konkani, Marathi, Maithili, Manipuri, Malayalam, Nepali, Punjabi, Oriya, Sindhi, Santhali, Sanskrit, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu have been given the place in the eighth schedule of constitution.

These languages are scheduled languages. Hindi is the largest language. The percentage of Hindi speaking people is largest, that's why Hindi has been recognized as the official language.

People of so many language speaking live together in India. Along with Hindi, English should be recognized, so that there is no dispute on the basis of language policy.
