A graph plotted between $\log$ $t_{50 \%}$ vs $\log$ concentration is a straight line. What conclusion can you draw from this graph?

(a) $n=1 ; t_{1 / 2}=\frac{1}{x \times a}$

(b) $n=2 ; t_{1 / 2}=\frac{1}{a}$

(c) $n=1 ; t_{1 / 2}=\frac{0.693}{k}$

(d) None of these

Best answer

Correct Option : (c)

Explanation—

$t_{1 / 2} \propto(a)^{(1-n)}$ or $t_{1 / 2}=z \cdot(a)^{(1-n)}$

$\therefore \quad \log t_{1 / 2}=\log z+(1-n)(\log a)$

It is straight line equation and hence,

slope $=1-n=0 \Rightarrow n=1$
