If a sum of money becomes $n_1$ times in $t$ years then time taken to become $n_2$ times of the principal amount.

$=\left(\frac{n_2-1}{n_1-1}\right) \times t \text { Year. }$

Example : If a sum of money doubles itself in 8 years then, in how many years would it be 8 times itself?

$\text { Soln. : Time }=\left(\frac{8-1}{2-1}\right) \times 8$

$=7 \times 8=56 \text { years, Ans. }$
