Can the elected rulers do everything they want in a democracy.

In a democracy, the people elect the representative. Representatives work for the development of the people. But the elected rulers cannot do what they want. Eradication of unemployment, control of inflation, Global warming climate change, foreign policy, internal security, Defense preparedness, unity and integrity of the country. Terrorism and separatism, Naxalite activities, increasing economic crimes like illegal arrival of foreign exchange, large amount deposited by Indians in foreign Banks. The arbitrariness of the ruling class is not going to work in the face of the major challenges of Indian democracy like control, high and hypocrisy, inequality and imbalance, familyism and caste-wise in politics.
