For the success of democracy in India, it is necessary that first of all the people should be educated only educated can create awareness in them. It is a fact that democratic governments are formed on the basis of majority, but democracy does not mean a system based on the opinion of the majority, but here it is necessary to pay attention to the aspirations of the minority. For the success of Indian democracy, it is necessary that the governments must provide this opportunity to every citizen so that they can become part at the majority at some point of the other. It is also necessary for the success of democracy that threshold be internal democracy within the individual as well as within the various democratic institutions. Ironically, India lacks a healthy tradition of internal discourse or internal democracy at the level of citizens and specially within political parties. Obviously, as a consequence of this, the character and behaviour of the people in power will look undemocratic and our faith in democracy will be lacking. We can overcome this with our active participation and unwavering faith in democracy.
