There are many types of partnership in power social groups that there is no possibility of sharing power directly. They are entrusted sharing of power through constitutional provisions.

In the Indian context, special provisions have been made in the Indian constitution for women, Anglo Indians, minorities and vulnerable communities and some other groups to share in the legislature and administration.

By making ministers on caste and other grounds in the cabinet, caste and other social groups are given a share in power.

Sharing of power through political parties is the easiest to understand partnership in the context of democracy. Parties that gain political power, power sharing negotiations, government formation by parties coalition forms the government by partnership.

Political situations like mass struggle and mass movement pressure groups also open the way for sharing of powers.
